About Seydisfjordur Tours

Why this site exists
A cruise call at Seyðisfjörður gives you 8 to 10 hours, and the listings you find online do not tell you what fits inside them. A canyon trip can mean an hour at a viewing platform or a five-kilometre walk to the river. A puffin tour in September is a coach ride to an empty cliff. Both cost roughly the same and both look identical in a search result.
We put the road times, the walking, the season and the price side by side so the choice takes a minute rather than an evening.
Where the numbers come from
Nothing here is written from memory. Prices, ratings and review counts are read off each operator's own booking page and dated on the page, in US dollars. Drive times are routed against the real roads, then checked against the minute-by-minute itineraries the operators publish, and where the two disagree we use the operator's figure.
Facts about the town, the canyon and the puffin colony come from the port authority at Múlaþing, the Icelandic Met Office, the village of Borgarfjörður eystri and the published record. Where sources contradict each other, the page says so.
Which trips get listed
